Conscientious individuals are motivated, competent, dependable, methodical, and self-disciplined. They have a sense of direction in life and work hard to achieve their goals. They have high self-esteem and feel well-prepared to deal with life. They can be trusted to start and finish jobs, and they think about and plan things before acting.

At the other end of the conscientiousness continuum are people who are more easygoing, less well-organized, and less well-prepared to deal with life. They do not have the same level of ambition and self-esteem. They have difficulty getting organized and motivating themselves to get things done so they are less dependable and reliable.

The OCEAN questionnaire will indicate where you lie on this continuum and it will highlight the implications of your personality on aspects of work such as achieving work goals and objectives, planning and organizing, meeting customer expectations, and delivering results.
